NEW FOR 2009-2010 CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT ANNOUNCES SEASON PASS FINANCING OPTION CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. – July 20 – Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has created a new season pass purchase option for 2009-2010. From now through July 31, 2009, the resort is offering financing on the purchase of all Platinum and Gold passes. The offer includes a $40 processing fee, and allows buyers to make four equal payments over four months: July, August, September and October 2009. Registration and initial payment must be received by July 31, 2009 to take advantage of CBMR’s pass financing option. CBMR has kept children's pass prices low and is extending the Family Pass Program into the 2009-2010 season. The Family Pass Program includes one free Young Adult or Child pass for every Adult Platinum or Gold Pass purchased within the same family. A Child's Gold Season Pass, valid for ages 7-12, is priced at $109 and a Young Adult Gold Pass, valid for ages 13-17, is $159 during the early purchase dates. And, as always, children 6 and under ski free. Platinum Pass holders enjoy unrestricted, unlimited skiing and riding with no blackout dates, plus a full summer of lift rides for mountain biking and hiking. The Gold Pass includes a full season of skiing and riding with no blackout dates. Both Platinum and Gold Pass holders can also take advantage of three free days at Okemo and Mt. Sunapee and half priced skiing at Durango Mountain Resort and Powderhorn. Bronze Pass holders can take advantage of skiing and riding at CBMR at a more affordable price by accepting blackout dates during busy seasons such as the winter holidays and spring break. The resort’s Mountain Card options offer flexibility for those who target Crested Butte as a regular hot spot for downhill exhilaration and small town relaxation. Mountain Cards allow for ample on-mountain enjoyment while taking into account limited ski time. The CB Card features savings and discounts all season long with 25 percent off on all single day adult lift tickets, a 15 percent savings on ski and snowboard rentals & demos and a 15 percent discount on any lodging booked through Crested Butte Vacations. The CB Card also includes free skiing or riding on the first day of use. The popular X-Card includes six unrestricted days of powder nirvana. The EZ Pass includes one day of skiing per week. And 10-Day or 15-Day passes allow for flexibility and savings. All Mountain Card passes are valid throughout the season with no blackouts. All passes can be purchased on-line at www.skicb.com/seasonpass. For maximum savings, passes must be purchased before September 7, 2009. After September 7, discounts will only be available at select regional sales events. Passes may still be purchased at the regular price throughout the 2009-2010 ski season. For those using the financing option, sign-up and initial payment is due July 31. Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Crested Butte is committed to preserving the pristine landscape and mountain lifestyle.
