January 2015 Edition

Town Tidbits

I hope you all had a great Holiday Season and incredible New Years! Our winter started out with a bang but has dried up considerably as the whole of Colorado struggles with snowfall. That being said our ski patrol is absolutely amazing and has managed to get some of the extremes open and they are skiing well. Just be safe out there and watch for unmarked hazards. It's snowing today with up to five inches expected by tomorrow. Aprespalooza is featuring Matisyahu this coming Saturday, February 7th at Butte 66. No charge! The $99 Companion fare is still going on so plan your next visit now. Click here for more information.

What's Happening in the Real Estate Market

Benson Sotheby's is the leading real estate firm once again (4th year in a row) surpassing our closest competitor by 30% in total sales and 41% in total transactions (210). A special thanks goes out to all my clients this year as I experienced my best year ever. Moving one more spot to 2nd place for volume and remaining number one for amount of transactions (65 of them, 45% more than any agent in Crested Butte). Again this year our office had four of the top five agents for sales volume. Click here to visit my website and call me anytime if you need Buyer and/or Seller representation.

Trampe Ranch Conservation Project
The Trampe family is working with The Trust for Public Land and the Gunnison Ranchland Conservation Legacy to protect some 6,000 acres of the most outstanding scenery in Colorado, extending from Gothic to Crested Butte Mountain and south along the East River to just north of Gunnison. Please contact me as I would be happy to email you more information. We all love this special place just as it is, so let's keep it that way!
